Indicator description
Percentage of the population with disposable income below the international poverty line based on purchasing power parity:
- at 1 US dollar per day (since 1990);
- at 1.25 US dollars per day (since 2008);
- at 1.90 US dollars per day (since 2015).
The poverty level of the population living below the international poverty line is estimated by converting the poverty line of US $ 1.90 per day into the local currency using the latest purchasing power parity (PPP) consumption exchange rates taken from World Bank estimates.
