Contraceptive use and use of reproductive health services among women aged 18–44 years

Indicator description

The calculation is made based on the results of selective observation of the reproductive plans of the population (carried out once every 5 years). Numerator: Number of married or in union women and girls aged 18-44 years: – for whom health care decisions for themselves are not usually made by a husband/partner or someone else; and – for whom the decision about contraception is not primarily made by the husband/partner; and – who can refuse intimacy to a partner. Only women who meet all three empowerment criteria are included in the numerator. Denominator: Total number of women and girls aged 18–44 who are married or in union.
